Yield Guild Games (YGG) provides game developers with the infrastructure, community, and operational support to bring their crypto gaming projects to market through its publishing arm, YGG Play. Establishing the Casual Degen genre, YGG helps developers design games that are easy to pick up, aligned with crypto-native player behavior, and structured for engagement and monetization. YGG supports growth strategy, player acquisition, community management, and Web3 integration, enabling developers to scale and sustain their games for the decentralized era.
YGG combines in-house development with third-party publishing, creating opportunities for IP collaborations and community-driven experiences to expand the Web3 gaming ecosystem. Its first title, LOL Land, surpassed $6.5 million in lifetime revenue within 5 months of launch. Building on this success, YGG continues to grow its ecosystem of publishing partners, supporting new titles that drive engagement, revenue growth, and long-term sustainability for games in Web3.
YGG’s questing system allows games to target and engage real, qualified Web3 players and empower gamers to build their onchain reputation. It recognizes players’ efforts and achievements by rewarding them with points, XP, $YGG tokens, in-game assets, exclusive NFTs, and more.
YGG has upgraded its questing system with two new platforms, Community Questing and the YGG Play Launchpad, evolving its pioneering formula to achieve broader reach and scale.
The YGG Play website, an all-in-one platform for Casual Degen games, hosts the YGG Play Launchpad, where players can discover the latest titles in the YGG Play ecosystem, complete quests, and participate in exclusive token launches.
Quests on the YGG Play Launchpad reward players with YGG Play Points, which can also be earned by staking $YGG on the Launchpad. The platform features its own token launchpad focused on game utility tokens for YGG Play titles. Players gain access to token launches by pledging their YGG Play Points and contributing $YGG tokens on the platform. Participants who pledge more points receive higher priority access to token launches, while their $YGG contribution determines their final token allocation.
YGG Community Questing was launched in Early Access in August 2025 to deliver a more streamlined questing experience for both solo players and Onchain Guilds. Quests and Campaigns range from social tasks and in-game actions to tournament outcomes, and more, where prize pools can be distributed in XP, gaming tokens, NFTs, or USDC.
The platform enables the YGG community to earn rewards through gameplay and build their XP to redeem special items, as the rewards center evolves into a marketplace for games to release exclusive NFTs.
YGG Media and Events
The YGG Play Summit is an annual week-long celebration of Web3 games that takes place in November in Manila, Philippines, the epicenter of Web3 gaming. Iterations of the event have included a conference, game expo, hackathon, workshops, roundtable discussions, esports tournaments and showmatches, cosplay competitions, and dozens of pre-event activities and side events.

YGG also produces its own media content through YGG Play, including LOL Lounge, a podcast for founders, publishers, and investors that unpacks the strategy involved in bringing games to market in Web3. Hosted by Leah Callon-Butler of Emfarsis, LOL Lounge features YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon in conversation with publishing partners and ecosystem allies. Using Casual Degen titles as a case study, they explore the full stack from game design and tokenomics to user acquisition, monetization, community growth, and more.
Another platform is YGGTV, an online show produced by Yield Guild Games where community members can tune in to learn more about Web3 gaming, discover the latest games, and stay up to date on activities in the Web3 space. Notable videos published through YGGTV include the YGG x Pixels Special, which features Pixels founder Luke Barwikowski.
YGG Network
As part of its mission to onboard millions to the open Metaverse, YGG has established hyper-localized regional guild partners around the world.
The YGG Guild Alliance was also formed as an extension of YGG’s vision of supporting players with onchain resources to equip them for success in their chosen games. More than 40 Web3 gaming guilds have joined the Guild Alliance as of June 2024, including guilds not previously affiliated with YGG.
In 2024, YGG transitioned into a Guild Protocol to enable Web3 guilds to organize and scale onchain. With this transition, entire guilds can now receive assistance to help establish themselves within the Web3 gaming ecosystem.
YGG is always looking to uncover opportunities for its community to level up together. YGG demonstrates this through initiatives such as Metaversity, an educational program spearheaded by YGG Pilipinas to enable local communities to learn Web3 skills and uncover income-earning opportunities in Web3.
YGG KOLs and community leaders also regularly produce educational content to help YGG community members get started in Web3 games or improve their gameplay. For example, YGG has published a tutorial series led by YGG Esports Captain Disi to teach new Parallel players how to climb the leaderboard with only a standard deck.
YGG offers esports tournaments and has a premier roster of esports players competing in games such as Parallel, Axie Infinity, Might & Magic: Fates, Vibes, and Sipher. The team has won various high-profile tournaments, including the YGG Parallel Showdown, Axie Infinity SEA Guild Wars, Axie Infinity Grand Tournament, Parallel Planetfall Invitational, and more.
YGG has hosted several AMA (Ask Me Anything) sessions, esports competitions, bootcamps, in-person meetups, and other community events.
Various roles are available for the community. For instance, Game Ambassadors, who are heavily involved in the YGG community and have a particular passion for a Web3 game such as YGG Play’s Casual Degen titles or other games that YGG has partnered with, help manage and grow the YGG player community associated with that game. Meanwhile, Game Testers play new games throughout the development process to find issues with user experience and provide feedback to help the publisher improve the game.
YGG is continuously seeking ways to secure Web3 and enhance the integrity of its infrastructure. In line with this, YGG has taken on the responsibility of being a validator for the Ronin, Oasys, and XPLA gaming blockchains and is actively supporting them to ensure their continued security and success.
